Reframe Script Builder
Build a custom reframe for a presenting problem not covered in the book's scripts — using the client's specific words and frame.
This worksheet walks therapists through constructing a custom reframe for any presenting problem. It requires working from the client’s own language, producing three draft versions of the reframe, selecting the version that fits the client’s register, and building a delivery plan. A reframe built in the therapist’s language will not land; a reframe built from the client’s language will feel to the client as if they thought of it themselves.
Use this worksheet for any presenting problem not covered by the book’s twenty scripts. Work through all three draft versions before selecting one — the first draft is rarely the version that will land best. Review the final version before the session in which it will be delivered.
