Reframe Delivery Planner

Plan the timing, framing, and exact language for a reframe before the session — and document what to do if the client rejects it.

This worksheet helps therapists prepare a specific reframe before the session in which it will be offered. A reframe prepared in advance is more precise than one improvised in the moment — the exact words matter, and the right moment to deliver it must be identified before entering the session.

Complete this worksheet before any session in which a reframe will be offered. Write out the delivery language fully, identify when in the session to offer it, and prepare the follow-up for both acceptance and rejection. Review the delivery language in the five minutes before the session.
